Watercolor and urban art

My approach to urban art involves searching out the old and decayed and more interesting aspects of the urban landscape, and trying my best to make a beautiful painting.  This genre involves buildings, infrastructure, bridges, trestles, old vehicles, etc.

En plein air

A fancy term that means just what it sounds like—"in plain air"—or painting outside. Plein air painters feel the outdoor experience makes them more attuned to the subject, including the heat and cold and rain and mosquitoes. We are out there among the people. It's up close and personal.
